The sale of coloured papad is banned in Tamil Nadu.

The Food Safety Department in Tamil Nadu has banned the sale of coloured papads, which are made using highly synthetic pigments, and advised the public to buy and eat only papads that are traditionally made using peanuts, rice, etc.
