Sports advisor to the Telangana government, Jitender Reddy, revealed during a discussion on BBC Telugu that Telangana has a 2% sports quota in college admissions.

To promote sports at the school level in Telangana, two per cent of the sports quota will be allocated for college admissions after Class X and XII, said Telangana government advisor on sports affairs, Telangana Olympic Association.
