Smoking, hawking and begging on trains to be heavy, Railways hikes fine

The Indian Railways has increased the fine amount to ₹2,000 for offences such as smoking, unlicensed hawking and begging in trains and railway premises under the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026.
