Mumbai's monsoon: The wettest since 2000, IMD issues red alert

This time, the first spell of monsoon in Mumbai was the heaviest in 27 years. As of July 6, 1240 mm of rain has fallen. The IMD has issued a red alert for Mumbai, Thane and Raigad.
