Can't be lathicharged just for protesting: SC on police action during CJP protest

The Supreme Court has expressed deep anguish over the police lathicharge during a protest against the NEET paper leak. Lathicharge cannot be done just because it is a protest. The CJI made it clear that peaceful protest is a constitutional
