Industrial clusters such as Makhupura should face mandatory, published electrical and fire-safety audits, with specific storage norms for plastic godowns that can accelerate such blazes. Stretches that record fatal collisions on the Jammu-Srinagar highway warrant engineered fixes - medians, rumble strips, enforced speed limits - chosen by where the casualties actually fall. Recruitment boards need tamper-proof, centrally secured architecture so that a Samastipur cannot recur. And every district should publish fatal accidents, major fires and the status of each inquiry every quarter, so that prevention is measured as rigorously as construction. Fund the inspector as seriously as the corridor, and the casualty list that fills these local pages can begin, measurably, to shorten.
